A graduate of the University of New Brunswick Arts Program & St. Malachy’s Memorial High School, Joanna has always been a passionate learner throughout her academic and professional career. Energetic and thoughtful, Joanna leverages a background in sales, marketing and economic development and has worked with organizations such as Economic Development Greater Saint John, the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, Planet Hatch, Pond Deshpande Centre, Opportunities New Brunswick and Canadian Business Development Corporation as well as dozens of local businesses and startups.

Joanna is a member of the Board of Directors of the Saint John Community Loan Fund/Social Enterprise Hub and the Chair of the City of Saint John Community Arts Board leveraging her experience and network in the community to support both organizations. Joanna is passionate about social justice and activism and is an active participant in the local community as a speaker and organizer for a number of local grassroots initiatives.

Joanna grew up in the riding of Saint John Lancaster and adores living and working on the beautiful West Side. As a business owner and community activist, she is passionate about developing a safe and supportive government that benefits all people who live in New Brunswick.
